Martina Tritthart
Martina Tritthart ist freischaffende Medienkünstlerin und Kuratorin an der Schnittstelle von bildender Kunst, Bewegtbild und Architektur und lebt mit ihrer Familie in Wien. Die Künstlerin ist bei internationalen Licht- und Medienkunst-Festivals vertreten. 2019 hat sie im Rahmen des Animationsfilmfestivals Tricky Women/Tricky Reality 2019 den Hubert Sielecki -Preis für ihren experimentellen Animationsfilm solar mechanix 1.1 erhalten. Martina Tritthart ist Mitglied der Künstlerhaus Vereinigung und ab 2021 zusammen mit Holger Lang Kuratorin des Freien Kinos des Künstlerhauses im Stadtkino.
Martina Tritthart promovierte im Bereich Architektur an der TU Graz. Sie hat als Universitätsassistentin am Institut für Raumgestaltung an der TU Graz sowie in der Studienrichtung raum&designstrategien an der Kunstuniversität Linz gearbeitet. Zurzeit ist sie Lektorin an der FH Joanneum und FH Burgenland. Martina Tritthart hält zahlreiche Vorträge im In- und Ausland im Bereich Medientheorie und bildender Kunst.
Martina Tritthart works as an artist, curator and researcher in Vienna. Her work includes installation and media-art as well as filmmaking. It has a prominent focus on light as a medium, related to the perception of spaces. For her abstract animation film „solar mechanix 1.1“ she received the Hubert Sielecki award. Martina Tritthart is member of the Künstlerhaus and one of the two curators of the „Freie Kino“-program there.
She completed her Ph.D. on „Light Spaces – Spatial Models of Perception“ at the University of Technology in Graz and teaches since 1999. As assistant professor she worked at the Institute for Spatial design at the TU Graz and in the program “space & design-strategies” at the University of Art and Design Linz. Currently she is a lecturer at the FH Joanneum – University of Applied Science and also the FH Burgenland – University of Applied Science.
